In 1870 Laura was living in Alamo with her parents, William and Rhoda Sophronia (Johnson) Howland, her three brothers; Henry, Alfred, and Frank, her grandmother, Ann Oliver, and George Oliver (might have been a brother to William). In 1880 she was living in Almena with her parents and her five brothers.
In 1900, Laura and Lell moved to Cambridge, Idaho. After Lell's death in 1904, Laura continued living at the old home on Advent Gulch until it burned. A new home was built nearby. In 1920 she was still had three children living with her. At some point after that, she moved out and lived for awhile with several of her children. She died of of cancer while living with her oldest son, Charles. She was buried in the Cambridge Cemetery. Laura Ann Oliver's obituary said that at her death in 1933, she had 6 brothers living in Michigan.
