- Caleb was of the firm of Loring & Snelling, distillers. He was also interested in navigation, and during the War of the Revolution, the Rising States, belonging to Caleb Loring of Hingham, was captured by a British frigate. He resided at Boston and in Hingham on North Street, corner of Cottage Street. [2]
