    • (There were two contemporary Lydia Turners in Scituate, both daughters of Elisha and Lydia Turners, and both married Samuel Turners. This one was the daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Briggs) Turner, and she married Samuel Adams Turner, son of Charles and Hannah (Jacob) Turner, in 1814. The other Lydia was the daughter of Elisha and Lydia (Holden) Turner, and she married Samuel Turner, son of Israel and Mercy (Oakman) Turner, in 1828 as his second wife.)

Although Samuel and Lydia shared the surname Turner, they were only remotely related.
