Magdalena "Maggie" Hopfauf was born March 13, 1914, to Stanley and Emilia (Leingang) Hopfauf, at Fallon. The oldest of 16 children, she was raised on a farm near Fallon. The friends she made there were a source of great joy and inspiration to her. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters, Women of the Moose, Women of the Eagles, RSVP Volunteers since 1976 and Christian Mothers of St. Joseph Church, Glen Ullin.
