      Kent County Death Records, Book 8, page 366, Record #153 States that a male, white, widower named William Smith died 14 September 1912 in Grand Rapids Township of organic disease of the heart. He was born in New York, worked as a farmer and his father was Andrew Smith, and his mother unknown.
