- Enoch left this country in the middle of the night with a light driving team and a light wagon to go back to South Dakota, where they formally resided. He drove the distance in less than six weeks. Shortly after arriving, he took sick, died, andwas buried there. His and Amy Negus Sargeant’s children are buried immediately south of the memorial headstone for Amy Negus Sargeant.
