  Notes	The names of Thomas’s children do not appear on the Glastonbury records. A child was baptised, name not given, 23 Oct 1692 in the First Church at Hartford, CT. Thomas was granted in 1713 by the town of Glastonbury 36 acres of land. Afterwards he received other grants from the town. After his death guardians were appointed in 1725 for his minor children. Elisha, age 16, chose Thomas Welles. The court appointed David Hollister as guardian for Mary, age 11, Benjamin, age 9, and Elizabeth, age 2. Thomas was appointed guardian for his brother Joseph, about 13, and Sarah, about 4. William Dinsmore was son-in-law to Thomas Lovland. Thomas gave him land in 1739. Jacobus says in his book, Hale, House and Related Families, that “the Genealogy of the Loveland Family errs in calling his first wife Eunice House, and in giving him a daughter Eunice baptized in Hartford in 1792, the latter being a daughter (not named) of his father. Probably he had no child older than his son, the third Thomas, born about 1700. While he may have had towo wifves, as the Genealogy states, there is no need to assume that he did.” [1, 2]
