- From Temple’s History of Framingham:
On 4 Jun 1702 David’s father gave him 130 acres “New Grant land” in Sudbury where he built the famous tavern known as the “Red Horse Tavern” and by last popular designation the “Wayside Inn”.
The Wayside Inn was made famous by Longfellow. [1]
