GEORGE H. BROWN PASSES BEYOND
George H. Brown was born in North Gun Plains township Jul 28, 1868. He was the second son of Henry and Jane Brown in this neighborhood and at the old homestead he spent his entire life and died August 23, 1931.
August 14, 1890 he was united in marriage to Fannie Townsend. To them was born one son, Olin. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, son and wife, and one grand daughter; three brothers, Fred, David, and Ulric besides a large circle of near relatives and a host of friends. He was a kind and loving husband, a good neighbor and always willing to bear his share. He loved his home and enjoyed the family gatherings.
He was a member of the Gun Plains Grange, being a regular attendant and one who enjoyed the fellowship and brotherhood of that organization. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held from the Johnson Funeral home at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. E. L. Sutcliffe officiating. Burial in Hillside cemetery. |
