RUTH H HASKINS, age 98 of Harbor Beach and Manistique, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on January 5, 1915 in Manistique to the late Oscar & Freda (Lundquist) Peterson. Ruth and Duane Haskins were united in marriage on December 11, 1949 in Detroit; he preceded her in death December 4, 1984. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed going to their cottage in Manistique, Michigan and being with family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Wayne) Kadar of Harbor Beach, 3 grandchildren: Brandon (Stacey) Kadar of Harbor Beach, Kasie (Chris) LaFramboise of Maryland, and Grant Kadar & Kelsey Umbreit of Harbor Beach, 7 great grandchildren: Dylan, Ariel, Audrey, Cora, Elyse, Khloe, and Benson. Ruth is also survived by a sister, Irene Hinkson of Manistique. Ruth is preceded in death by 3 sisters: her twin sister Vera, who died as an infant, Esther, and Vera, 7 brothers: Oscar, Henry, Victor, Roy, Carl, Eugene, & Vanner Peterson. Visitation for Ruth Haskins will be Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 4-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Graveside services will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Manistique, Michigan at a later date
