Notes |
- From James Burren Brown III:
My father, the eldest of their children, was born February 9, 1903---in Levering I believe.
15 Nov 2004
My father, JBBII had nephritis, a complication I believe of the flu and the 1918 flu epidemic. He was bedridden for some time possible several years, and wasn't expected to live. He was not able to attend high school. I didn't know the exact period, but it appears he was still so, at the time of the 1920 census.
JBBII, my father, was accepted at Michigan State College without high school. He was asst personell director at Oldsmobile for many yrs, until he went into the construction business [1948] with his brother, Lee Clark Brown--Brown Brothers Construction, Lansing. Brown Bros. ended business in the late 1980s.
